Seriously, one of the best songs I've ever heard from two people whose alchemy together was inspired from above.

fairlybursting...I believe that lovely instrument that Benjy is playing so well is actually a dilruba..."bowed sitar"...WONDERFUL choice for the piece!

I feel rage toward a spirit that hangs overhead like Crane's unimpressed sun that allows you to die only because you can. Dave Carter's message grows bolder by the day. Play this while watching footage of the Wall Street protest currently going on. As I live in a world that increasingly forces me to exploit those weaker than I just to survive, I am exposed only by the words of a gifted few who remind me that I still have a conscience. It's humbling and yet still vital. Forgive me when I go.

Amazing. Stunning. Thanks so much for posting.

Such a distilled, concentrated...can't even call it a "performance." Am spellbound every time and moved beyond words. Did get the chance to hear a stark, beautiful Bryan Bowers rendition some time ago.

Remarkable song, amazing songwriter. A great cover, by Pete & Maura Kennedy, is something you should not miss. Of an earlier non-HD version, one comment was "Gorgeous and magical, a brilliant complement to Dave Carter's song and The Kennedys' performance of it." Tracy Grammer commented, "ah, so lovely. thank you for the images to fly by, and thanks as ever to the kennedys for their reverent rendition. xo. tracy." Bill Nash performed this song at Uncle Calvin's on Friday night. (Great job, Bill) I've had it in my own songbook for a long time and do it from time to time, but this is such a great version, by the guy who wrote it. Note the Sitar being played with a bow at the beginning. Interesting.
