This is a wonderful lecture (starts at mintute 03:07) by Shaikh Jehad, in regards to the numerical miracles in the Holy Quran and its connections to other aspects of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his family (a.s).
HIGHLY recommended!

  • @Shi3i4lyf Sounds good. Before I do - what do you think of trance music?

  • @chulloung

    Salam To you too, brother/sister.

Welcome to the religion of God. I advice you to listen to lectures by Hajj Hassanain RajabAli.

I think you will be greatly benefited from him.

  • @Shi3i4lyf Well if you put it that way - I guess so. Im a newly convert to Sunnah. Salem walaykum.

  • @chulloung

I am from the Shia sect.

    Is it not obvious? :)

  • @Shi3i4lyf Okay - are you Sunni or Shia Muslim?

  • @chulloung

Well, it all depends on the sect you follow, I guess.

The use of instruments in international Islamic music like Sami Yusuf, Yusuf Islam and Maher Zain, are so popular and permissible for a reason...

It's your responsibility to find out. Research. :)

    Good luck.

  • @Shi3i4lyf Actually I watched most of the lecture. I was talking with a Imam from Edmonton Alberta. He told me no instruments are permissible unless it is a certain gong or a trumpet for the Day of Reckoning. So now I'm confused - you say music is halal and the other brother says its haram. How do I make the call which is correct?

  • @chulloung

Music that leads to Fahisha (obscenity) and moral poverty is harram. There is nothing wrong with using instruments for Islamic causes.

Did you watch the lecture or just wanted to comment on irrelevant details?

    Salam.

  • I thought music was haram. Why is the intro to this clip have music?

  • @BrotherSkillz

Honestly, if I sit and talk to a Wall, it would begin to understand what you lack in understanding of the religion of Islam.

Shameful is you, who know nothing of Islam but the appearance of your face and beard. Shameful is you, who curse at people you have never met. Shameful is you, who tainted the beautiful image of Islam with violence and hate.
