With many operators and civilians alike. the Spyderco Military is the quintessential tactical folder. Its 4 S30V clip blade is extremely fast into action, locks up tight and stands ready for both thrust and slash cuts. The Millie wears a slightly larger 14mm deployment hole to facilitate gloved hand actuation. And along that theme, the nicely textured G10 grip is nice and big and provides plenty of real estate for various grasping options. As such the Military merits serious consideration when your operations require the wearing of gloves. Other upsides include: absence of full steel liners (which keeps the weight down to a remarkable 4.0 oz), excellent jimping, availability of different colorations (limited in issue usuallycheck out that Desert Digital camouflage!), easy maintenance pillar construction, a razor sharp edge, a fine tip for detail work, and overall good looks. Downsides include: a possibly weak tip, a non-moveable glossy black carry clip (sadly in tip-down configuration), and somewhat high cost. It excels however in the defensive/offensive backup tactical role and serves admirably in that role with many combat engaged troops and with law enforcement officers. ////////////////////Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 8 out of 10

  • @AgentBuggy47 I saw that, and Halo comes to mind.

Great knife, still deciding to get that or the Paramilitary though. Eventually end up with both though.

  • I just got a Knife works Carbon fiber version on the Military and I LOVE it! thanks for the review.

  • Wow this knife is sick!

  • I second the request for para!! actually I get it, they're kind of smilar, but what I'm actually interested is in a comparative vid...yup, there's so many around 3 inch blades...I mean..which one??? earlier it peop, but now all these blades seem to be equivalents, so question remains, how do they compare?? which ones to go for??

  • @ervb44

Liner locks are quicker to disengage.

Go with the Police G10 then.

  • What makes this knife light also makes him weak, just compere tenacius with military and you will know what im talking about.

  • beautiful knife,Spyderco ruined it for me with the liner lock though.I stick to the lockbacks they make.

  • @xXxEagleScouterxXx holy schnikes!! thats amazing

  • @HvinnyTheViking Good deal. I saw a new in box one go on ebay for over $400 two weeks ago.

  • @xXxEagleScouterxXx Yes you many

I knew with a tag-price of $75, even in her dilapidated state (gummed up blade around the swivel, G-10 was all filled in with discolored gunk and blade barely opened). I had found a sweet deal, but I will never pay a ticket price in a pawnshop, ended up paying $40 cash

I had no idea it was as old and rare as it is, or I would have just handed him the cash, I knew it was leaving with me, also found a leatherman Charge Ti (s30v) for $40 that day and Skeletool @$20
