@arnethebanana I'm gunning Ortho, and arrive to see patients at 4am. If you get there at 5, you are either not noticed or you're too late bc the resident already saw the patient. I understand that these are issues that you are not well versed, seeing as there are no nursing gunners.

haha so true!!!!
-
@arnethebanana It is not uncommon for medical students to be in the hospital before 4:30 on surgical services.
-
As if a med student would be there at 5 in the morning?!

@AnonHateMachine so what you're saying is that when the cardiologist ordered me to give Amiodarone 300 mg IV push to a patient in NSR in the 70s in addition to Lopressor 10 mg IV push, just because she was NPO and he wanted her to have some amio on board, I should have just blindly pushed the amio and the lopressor? Yeah, I would be in prison if I did that. There's a reason we question orders.

@pyrexia123 Acutally I thought juken was from England. This definitely not representative of the teaching hospital culture anywhere in America, and I am a travel nurse that has worked in 3 different states.

@juken19 I have yet to meet any resident that was my BOSS. I swear to God you are making this up!!! You can't be serious!!!
-
@juken19 and until you get a license, there is no reason I have to yield to you. You're a STUDENT.
-
@juken19 Is this a joke? Honestly you sound like you're being sarcastic. You can't really be serious....
-
juken 19, the whole hospital does not revolve around YOU.
@juliabohemian actually, i'm a 4th year medical student and a surgeon once told me : the best thing u can do is to be VERY nice to all the nurses, they're the ones who run the hospital, its not us... he said those exact same words, but in french lol !
