I have always liked this song but having done a little research I find myself liking it even more! John Lennon's clever creativity lets us in on his glance at a local newspaper as Paul's lighthearted lyrics about his youth remind us our our own! This story of one day is made fantastic by what John called "a musical orgasm"! A 41 piece orchestra brings us this intense blast of sound! The "lucky man who made the grade" in the song was 21 year old Guinness heir, Tara Browne, who was a friend of Paul's among many other young rock stars! I included the actual article but it is hard to read....SORRY! In this video I also included Jeff Becks version of the tune! As Jeff Beck plays I swear I can hear John Lennon's voice singing! Beck is an amazing guitarist and I hope I don't offend anyone by pairing the two artist together but for me it's all about the art and I dig both versions! Rock on and enjoy!!!
