This cockatoo comes to my house almost daily. The others that visit are not this tame, but this one follows me up and down the railings, and insistent on eating out of the container of seed I hold.

  • aw what a sweetheart

  • I haven't seen this cockie in a while - springtime brings cooler weather and the numbers are down on summer. But I still had 10 corellas and 3 cockatoos come visit for Sunday dinner :) i just added a video of it.

  • that is really cool! where do you live?

  • In a suburb called Boronia, which is in the state of Victoria, Australia. These birds are all wild, and visit me almost every day!

  • MY MOLUCCAN AND I JUST WATCHED IT AND ENJOYED IT

  • I feed the birds regularly, but I have not had the contact that you've had. Thanks for sharing.

  • @smartiesplace This is exactly what I was looking for. One cocky I feed all the time, just hasn't been around for a while. he basically just doesn't seem to come for maybe don't know 3 weeks. I'm thinking what your saying here, that he is far away as now the weather is good?? although i feed him generously (he's my pet now), so i would think he'd keep coming always ? certainly the other cockies aren't in the area. I can tell usually because i'll see some far away on a tall pole.

  • would you believe one cocky ripped a small piece of tile off (it was old and cracked though). this worries may. can't just leave em out there to eat and be relaxed about it all. any tips? or it wont happen much?

  • sorry for the repeast. didn't know it was posted

  • hi. thank you for sharing. i have also been attracing wil bird recently, and have been fortunate to get cockies too. out houses here are brick with tiles, but i'm wondering if it could still be an issue (with cockies wrecking our houses). sometimes, they poke around a little in the gutter, and i'm a little worried about that. what do you think?
