Hey everyone! It's Tuesdays with Mia.
This video ended up being more of a discussion starter than a question answerer, if that makes sense. My hope would be that this will start some discussion surrounding the idea of women-only spaces.
Thanks for everyone that watches every week and contributes with comments and discussion topics! Let's keep this going.

  • I agree completly. If there were men only spaces, it would be "sexist" but women only spaces are just fine? That's stupid. I agree with you. Women only spaces are just as sexist as men only spaces

  • This makes no sense. If women are alone, and no men allowed, women are "empowered" and that's "good." But if men are alone, and no women are present, then it's oppressive towards women. WTF????????

  • @videodads amen

  • Great video.

  • @betsyritz Ooh, false-consciousness derail for the win!

But it wouldn't be much of an issue if then many cis womyn didn't decide to ignore the historical aspects of trans feminism (yes, we've been around before recorded history) and isolate trans wimmin from those womyn-only spaces or only allow them in after a great deal of policing. That's of course, Mia's key critique.

  • You're an idiot.

  • @MacoutesGabber Well noted, this is the typical hypocrisy and misandry of feminists... sick in the head.

  • Why do misandrists (feminists) constantly promote double-standards and misandry (hatred of men)?

  • MIA i got a question, and im not trying to be rude, but why do you dress like a teenage boy?

  • I think Mia does not understand the historical aspect of feminism with women as prey in a binary, male identified world and the need for a safe, womyn defined womyn only space emblematically and literally providing a safe place in which to identify and express the feminism that Mia, and her queer brothers and sisters enjoy. While the ideal of feminism may have progressed, the world we live in is still binary-gendered; with men exploiting women and women who stalked and preyed upon by men.

  • Women only spaces are the same as whites only places to me
