This is the very end of "One Of These Days" as seen on the American Pay-Per-View broadcast from 1994. It's a little hard to see, but if you watch the pigs closely you can see them jump out of the towers down to the ground (they also did that at a show I attended).

After being transmitted as Pay-Per-View, this show was re-edited a few months later using different camera angles and then released as the official Pulse VHS tape. At the end of "One Of These Days" on Pulse, the pigs can't be seen diving because for some reason Pulse cuts to a shot of the keyboard player WATCHING the pigs dive instead (amusingly, you can actually see his eyes follow the pigs down to the ground!).

I thought it was just a careless editing mistake when the Pulse VHS tape came out. But now, 12 years later, they've re-edited the show again with different camera angles for the Pulse DVD...and they still use that bad shot of the keyboard player rather than showing the pigs fly, so maybe they really like it that way for some reason. I don't know why they wouldn't want to show it, though I've heard Roger may have legally barred them from using the flying pig concept.

Granted this version doesn't have a very good shot of the pigs diving anyway, but on the DVD they can't be seen at all.

  • what towers? I want to see diving pigs. :(

  • There's a tower on both sides of the stage, and a pig at the top of each one with spotlights coming out of their eyes....

  • Why it was not showed on PULSE DVD? Couse of Roger Waters whos flying pig thing was his idea?

  • Yes, a minute was SHAVED OFF! Then, the High Hopes lap steel solo had a section from the lap steel solo edited in.

  • Another thing about the original TV broadcast, wasn't the solo at the end of Comfortably Numb longer than on the VHS/DVD? I remember hearing that they edited about 45 seconds or so out of it.

  • Wow... I love One of These Days, and that just makes it better...
