Ted van Lieshout reads his poem "Dertig jaar" (Thirty Years) from "Zeer kleine liefde"(Very Little Love), published by Leopold, Amsterdam 1999.
Text: One day children leave home, go into the world. Isn't it about time that your secret, now that it is thirty years old, moves out and learns to live on its own?
It can always come home when the world is tough. If it is sad. If the laundry needs to be done. If it misses me terribly.
