@osmoranguinhosdoagre as great as SNSD version is, the first time i heard it it seems like it just lacks...something, something both the english and this version have. Now that you mention it, the girls' version while vocally great, the emotion isnt there, not as strong as these solo demos

This is song itself is amazing . although i cannot understand japanese lyrics . both Hiro and Girls' Generation version is a *thumbs up* =)

@osmoranguinhosdoagre I disagree. both versions are excellent. it seems more emotional with one voice because people often pine for lost love alone, not as a group. if you just consider the singing, I think all the versions are very good. if SNSD didn't
cover this song, you fans would be begging for it. you just can't please everybody.

SNSD version is not even close of this one. This guy sings perfectly and can do high notes very easily. Also, I think this song is too emotional to be sang by a group - just a single voice does the work very well, specially an amazing voice like Hiro's.
