Derby County 0 Manchester United 2
at Hillsborough, Sheffield. att. 55,000

This was the heyday of United's travelling support and the heaving Hillsborough now certainly appeared predominantly red and white.

  • united had unbelieveable support, even in the old second division they were getting crowds of 60,000 at old trafford..unfortunately now its just a circus at old trafford and at many other grounds..The real players and fans now are all in the lower leauges...

  • Look at the hair on the guy at the bottom of the screen at 1:14 - truly of it's time

we had half the end which had been allocated to leeds and in total 2 thirds of the ground the following year. Funny how Leeds fan dont mention this when they get all nostalgic. Two years after being in a European cup final they couldnt sell thousands of tickets for a semi final 20 miles away

  • Rams fans will never forget Tommy Docherty !

  • great game great times i was there ,home andaway somtimes on the football special somtimes in a hire van.a gorton stretfordender with the great old gorton boys great daysnever swap

  • Pisser. They cut the bit where the fan kicks Rioch up the arse.

  • gordon hill - legend

  • Rembering these times of being a United fan when Tommy Doc was the manager, fucking amazing and would not swop it for now, paying on the day, 15 to 20,000 United fans at all away games and Old Trafford was brilliant with a singing swaying Stretford End, lol at you fans who think now is footballs best time, dream on, you have no idea what you missed.

  • @WELLBRAN He was, as a kid I remember him at Everton for an all too brief spell.

  • @etienne1234567 Rioch was a good player and skillfull the foul was unusual for him

  • @dirtydonki Well in those days Derby were a very good side, and there were quite a few sides then who on their day could beat anyone, I would sooner watch this than any premier game now...also have did you notice something? players TRIED to stay on their feet back then and PLAY.
