  • Fotiu was a Golden Gloves boxer and it shows here. Wilson was definitely one of the baddest of the bad during that time period and rarely lost.

I've seen enough videos of Wilson to know he was a dirty, cheapshot type of player, often using his stick on opponents already fighting teammates and going after non fighters like Mike Bossy. He obviously had no respect for 'The Code'.

No one could doubt his toughness. He gave Clark Gillies one of his rare beatings.

  • @Flyers20Fan i think wilson is a good fighter,,i just lost respect for him after i seen him beat this guy down when he was already down on the ground,,thats pretty low life to me...and yes i think wilson is a way better fighter than shultz.

  • @Flyers20Fan i think wilson is a good fighter,,i just lost respect for him after i seen him beat this guy down when he was already down on the ground,,thats pretty low life to me.

  • @uwique yeah you should look up more wilson fights, especially as a flyer, his upper cut was lethal and is my favorite flyers fighter of all time, followed by dave brown, schultz(more of an enforcer than fighter but still a good fighter), bridgman, brashear, berube, kordic and tocchet, maybe holmgren too

  • @uwique yeah, they were both great fighters, gillies was better for longer and had a better career but when wilson was with the flyers he was ridiculous, like i said according to a study lost just twice in 52 fights as a flyers, after he left the flyers and joined the hawks he wasnt as good but if u look up lists of best fighters of all time gillies is always up there but wilson is in the top 10 here in there, him and dave brown were the 2 best flyers fighters

  • @uwique damm!!..i'm surprised..wilson did beat gillies

  • @uwique alright type in behn wilson vs clark gillies, its the 2nd one when wilson was on the flyers, its called:

"behn wilson #3 flyers at clark gillies #9 NYI" - this was when wilson was in his prime, when he was with the flyers, he lost just twice in i think 52 fights with the flyers according to some legit study

  • @Flyers20Fan problem with fotiu was he didnt fight enough,,where can i find that gillies beatdown by wilson?..i'd like to see that.

  • @uwique

add this onto youtube.com, its not an easy video to find, wilson just embarasses gillies here, and once again hoyda was not tough at all, he is not remembered as a flyes or by flyers fans at all, so the fact that gillies, one of the best fighters ever beat on him is no surprise and not a big deal but after gillies beat schultz to pretty gain the heavyweight title from schultz, wilson absolutely destroyed gillies to bring it back to philly

  • @uwique ?, yeah fotiu was a pretty darn good fighter and got the best of wilson here but wilson was the better fighter and fotiu beat on players like hoyda who wasnt that tough which is why its not a big deal that gillies kicked his ass and he beat holmgren in one but than holmgren took the 2nd round, but apparently u forgot when Behn Wilson kicked Gillies ass and probably gave him the worst loss of his career. look it up, its when wilson was with the flyers, its not an easy video to find
