The Wallace Tower, also known as Benholm's Lodging, is painstakingly reconstructed at Tillydrone in june 1964 after the stones of the building Were transported from the city centre. Thank You For Watching The Video.

  • As an Aberdonian who emigrated to Canada in 1964 it was definitely a "flash of the past" watching this video! Another writer brought memories of "The Matt" on Sundays.....what a wonderful era to have been born to grow up in this beautiful city. I came back in 1965 from Canada to be married at St. Clements Church and after many visits, hope to return soon. Thank God for memories and people who take the time to put together videos of this very special place.

  • I can remember walking up union st on a sunday night ,it was called the ""The Matt""" teenagers were shoulder to shoulder !!!! met a few good looking girls too!!!! met my Wife in the Beach ballroom,, in 1953,, those were the good old days ,,,,,
