Blue Snowball Microphone Test

This was a request for an example of the Blue Snowball quality. Please ignore my pore acting as this was just something I knocked up upon that request.

I chose the monologue from Media as it has a few ups and downs in volume and pace. Also the sfx's were examples of how the mic handles different sound textures.

All edited in Windows Movie Maker, as I used my laptop. No editing was performed at all to the sound (although I was tempted to add music, lol).

No it wasn't, this was a raw recording. I unboxed it, set it on my bed and hooked it up to my laptop. My room is actually really bad for echo, so I record in a different room now. The rooms smaller and I've padded over most stuff with blankets. I also made a pop screen for the microphone too. I haven't got a recording in the new room to upload right now, but I'll see about getting one. I didn't use a power phantom, the Snowball gets power from the bus voltage of the USB cable.

Not tried it myself, but I've seen video and read documentation of people using it for accustic guitars and it sounded good.
