Adrian Sudbury is a reporter for the Huddersfield Examiner. In Nov 2006 he became seriously ill and called in sick, soon after he was diagnosed with leukaemia. This video was supplied by the Huddersfield Daily Examiner (http://ichuddersfield.icnetwork.co.uk/e xaminer/).
Here he shares his experiences of the disease and his treatment, in this entry he talks about his Bone Marrow Transplant. He can also be read on his very own Baldy's Blog at http://baldyblog.freshblogs.co.uk/ (more)

  • wishing you well, praying for you too. My niece has leukemia, was diagnosed 2 months ago. i made a video about her which is on here, pls take a look. she needs a bone marrow transplant, cancer is just so terribly sad...

  • The new stem cells engraft into the marrow cavities via the circulatory system. They go into the old spaces and begin to take over the old one.

  • wait, so when getting a bone marrow transplant, the RECIEVER of the donor doesnt need the marrow to be actually transplanted into the inside of the bone like how its taken out?

  • My cousin had leukemia once, and after about 3 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, and the final thing, the bone marrow transplant, he was cured from cancer.

  • I just "graduated" from MDS to AML and my oncologists @ Mayo Clinic are discussing BMT. I hope this finds you well.
