  • Do you remember what month this was filmed?

  • It was after June 10th, but I can't say with certainty any closer than that. I'm researching this and other footage I have and will post anything I find. I put this up after I read an article about the Cumberland Shop switcher (featured in the video) as there were questions about where it had been previously. Any particular reason you're looking for the month?

  • @oldebuck HELL yes my dad and uncles 39 plus yrs on the RR and i spent many days with them running trains in toledo ohio! This is how they did it switchin on the fly and jumpin on baby! Many men got sent to the dispatcher in the sky but it was men taking care of shity ass RR equipment and getting it done. Hell just loom at trains mag and rail fan rail road foamers who are X high school teachers pets and nerds who act like fucking idiots and kiss each other asses no honour.

  • @oldebuck , On Google Earth, you can make out where the tracks use to be. I liked working with that crew, but I don't remember why I left it - must have been bumped. I ended up back on the road but that's a whole 'nother story.

  • @oldebuck , a couple of years before this was taken, I was working that job with Roger & Cookie. Back when they had four man crews. That's why I brought my Dad here to tape it. I have about a half-hour of video here. I put this up in response to the Chessie Historical Society asking where the 5065 was assigned before it was the Cumberland shop switcher. I gave a presentation at the last B&O Historical Society Convention on the "trailer ramp" and showed what it looks like now.

  • All sorts of rule violations (now anyways) here!

  • Great video - LOVE seeing B&O and Chessie !!!

  • I was born on July 7, 1981, and I am looking for a railroad film or picture that was taken the day I was born! I still have not found one, but it may happen some day. The quality of this video is also rather impressive for its time; in those days, the 8mm was more often used.
