  • @theonly1hd Thank you all for the love...I am going to call you ASAP

  • I didnt know too much about Doc Ellis until I recently heard a song about his infamous no-hitter . After hearing that song I was surprised to find he had passed so recently .. This video told me more about the man in it's short 5 + minutes then I could ever find in any baseball journal .. He seemed like a very loveable , charasmatic man that was cherished by his family . That legacy is far more telling then any baseball trivia and I am sure he's missed dearly by all those he touched. RIP Doc !

  • Thanj You so much for your kind and loving words. As Docks wife I am glad that we could share some of his life and world with you. The video was done by his request, as he suffered for over a yr a most of baseball turned their back on him, and said he was lying about his illness, so he wanted the world to see upon his death that he was sick an dying not lying. Again Thank You for your kind words... Mrs Dock Ellis

  • Let me inform you as Dock's wife this is what he wanted the world to see. A man who gave so much to so many, yet when sick most of the world turned their back on him as if he were nobody, so please if you don't know what his wishes were from his daughter and family, please don't comment.

    Mrs Dock Ellis

  • I just want to say your father was a great man and a great athlete... I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting him at a baseball camp in Reno, Nevada when I was young. He gave me some good tips on pitching and I will never forget that day.

  • @theonly1hd Dude - you should delete the post with your phone number on it if you don't need it to be here anymore. Every wackjob in the world can see it....just trying to do you a favour by telling you.

  • I just would like to thank you for sharing your families memories and images of this Icon of a generation. I am Canadian who never liked baseball, but I can relate to the period of drug use and then making people understand the effects of drugs. Your father was a character all of his own. The world needs more like him and may he rest in peace. Thanks again for the privilege of seeing the mans true legacy....his family.

  • great choice of music...!

  • Great tribute to your dad - remember seeing him pitch as a kid in Pittsburgh.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Dock in Pittsburgh about five or so years ago. He was a fine man. He was also quite the conversationalist. It was a sports convention where I met him but we spent more time talking about life than we did baseball. I wish I had known him for longer than the half hour or so that we talked. I cherish that conversation to this day. Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Dock was one of the greatest men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

  • Rest in Peace Dock
