* You don't even know * A JB Story - Chapter 10

So, I know this is a sad part of the series, but I wanted to thank you all for your great comments and subscriptions... I hope Ill get more and more! Another angst chapter, sorry...

In the previous episode of *You dont even know*

Things are looking worse and worse as Kevin discovers that Joes Health insurance is not enough to cover his treatments. He hides everything from Nick knowing he would just complicate things...

N: Kev?
K: ...unh?
N: what did the doctor say?
K: ... everythings fine... I mean, with the insurance and stuff... Joes stable...
N *disappointed*: ... Oh... so, hes not getting better yet?
K: No...

*a moment of silence obscured the room*
N: Hey, Im going for a coffee... want anything?
K: No, no... Im fine...
* Nick stands up to leave as Kevin stops him grabbing him by his wrist*
K: Everythings going to be fine...
N* looking down*: ...you really think so?
K: Im sure...

* Everythings gonna be fine ... Kevin kept on playing those words into his head to convince himself, but he just couldnt...
Now he was staring at Joe... his little brother, his best friend... he had to wake up or Kevin would have died too...*

K* sitting on the chair Nick left and leaning on the bed*: Joe?

*You dont even know* - Chapter 10

K* sitting on the chair Nick left and leaning on the bed*: Joe? Can you hear me bro?
... Things are bad, real bad... I dont know what to do... I need your help to fix this thing... why dont you just open you eyes and solve all of this, please...

*Just as Nick did before, Kevin was waiting hopefully for an answer that wasnt coming. He looked down disappointed*

K: Im worried for Nicky... I mean, hes just sixteen years old... he shouldnt be living all of this man... first mom, then dad beating him up and now you! ... He doesnt deserve anything of this, he should be playing with the Xbox and talking bout girls like all the other kids, you know? Just like you should...
I cant believe this is happening... I dont know what to do...

* Kevin was holding his head and running desperately and repeatedly his hands through his curly hair... Till the day before he had no idea of what was going to happen... They where happily living their life, bonging beers with their friends...*

K *hitting his fist on the cup board near Joes bed* DAMN IT JOE! WAKE UP!

* Kevin collapsed to the floor, crying harder than ever... He couldnt stand to feel useless... He knew he was the one who had to do something and he was just failing all of it... *

K * whispering, now sitting on the floor *: ... please...

* He looked up to stare at his brother hopelessly as a deafening sound resounded in his head*

* Now he could hear people rushing through the door...*

Nurse: Im sorry sir, I might have to ask you to leave this room...

* but Kevin was like in a dream... He could see doctors checking Joes vital signs and working restlessly on the machines around him... Code blue, code blue! ... The voices were echoes in his head... but he felt like paralyzed... he couldnt move... He could just stare helplessly as his brother was dying...*
