Pascal Roge is one hell of an awesome bloody pianist.

Francis Poulenc is one of the best composers of the 20th Century. A shame he isn't heard more often

What a charming piece, so typically French in style.

@netherledy The video is a disgrace... I was learning how to do it, sorry... I believe I can do better now... :-)

@nadaniente115a I bought the sheet music for my wife yesterday, as your video reminded us of the lovely piano music that Poulenc wrote. I liked the pictures a lot, but I did wonder if they were all French scenes.

@netherledy No, no, at least some of the painters are British (pre-raphaelites) and even Italians maybe, I need to check... Cézanne is French, as you know.

@nadaniente115a I thought that I recognised some pre-raphaelites, the painting of the girl leaning over the fence wearing a blue dress is lovely, but I don't recall seeing it before.
They call my daughter 'The lady of Shalott' - because her hair and complexion is the same style and colour as the painting. :)

@netherledy Unfortunately I have not been able until now to find the reference for the painting you mention. Sorry about that! :-) If I happen to find it I will let you know. It could be someone like De Blaas too but no, it seems that it is not.
