Proposition 8 Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry. Shall the California Constitution be changed to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry providing that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California?

I agree marriage is a right that the gays should have. They have been fighting for it for a long time. I am not gay but I will speak up for them anyway. To marry is a wonderful way to show each other how much whomever loves each other, and to have each and every right that other people have when the are married.

Prop 8 is about taking away already existing rights. Same-sex couples can get married in California at the moment. Prop 8 takes away that rights.
