Amon Tobin's music and creativity is one of the biggest reasons I loved so many of the games I was playing through my school days, games like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and The Getaway Black Monday, brilliant guy.

I dont know how specific you want but it say on wiki (which you have probably already seen) that they used omnidirectional microphones. I dont know if that is too broad to be of any help but anyways...
