WRX with resonated Prodrive Axleback

catless up+scoobysport catless shorty dp+stock 3rd cat+STI midpipe+Prodrive axleback. Finally managed to get my wagon to sound the same when i was stock with only prodrive axleback. Did several trial and error to get here. The axleback was too loud and droned at freeway speed after i went stage 2 with dp and catless up. Adding the STI midpipe with bigger resonator toned it down again while retaining the mean growl and rumble.

Mission accomplished!

how loud is the muffler? i have a cat back at the moment but i really hate having a big can looking muffler. sounds great but looks like shit.

I was thinking about getting a prodrive but i want it loud.

What's your setup now? I started stock w prodrive cb and it was really quiet. It was night and day diff when I when with catless up and catless shorty dp. It's still not the loudest setup around town though but too loud for me especially with the drone on freeway at >75mph.

@munded1 im just running a skunk 2 catback at the moment. Plan on getting a DP soon but i'll probably get it catted.

I'm not looking for extremely loud and annoying rice burner mufflers but i know i don't want it this quiet.

I think prodrive, Cobb or stromung might work for you. I still have 3rd cat on but noticed a diff when one of dp cat is removed. It's best if u can locate someone local to listen to in person before buying since it's hard to tell from these videos.

Nice tone. I am in similar position as you were. At the moment I have decat up, deresonated midpipe and 4,5 tip. And don't want to make it any louder. I want to add downpipe with sports cat and resonator back on. Does resonator major impact on the sound? I see you have a STi resonator, is it bigger than WRX's one?

resonator does impact sound but don't expect it to do wonders.. imho, resonator seems to muffle the bass on the rumble by adding a little treble to the exhaust note which reduces drone on highway. the sti resonator is bigger then the wrx's.
