Julia Gillard, the Australian prime minister, and Tony Abbott, the opposition leader, have been rescued by riot police and security guards after being trapped in a building in Canberra during a violent protest calling for Aboriginal rights.

I agree the security was a joke. And I did not see the whole protest as I was not there.
Your plight? Aboriginals have suffered no argument. But so have other people. Aboriginals get free education, medical, housing, preferential university placement and job placement. Things I and many other Australians do not receive.

Abbott in no way instigated the protest. That was Gillard's staff.
As for invasion day do you not think it would be better to protest at the British embassy? It was the British that invaded you not the current day Australians. Yes I agree the body guard was over the top with Gillard probably he thought she was a bitch and wanted to shove her into the car.
