@tridentman1 Hi, the longer rail is part of the Troy MCS chassis. Mine came with the short rail also, but the price for me to send it to Springfield to put the extended rail on was the same cost as the Troy chassis. The barrel is threaded and they do sell the adapter plug for the gas tube so you can easily add a silencer. Its a normal thread pitch for a muzzle break, so you can even get the surefire with can adapter for easy attachment of a can.

I just bought a Socom II and love it, but the top rail is so far forward I can't find a good scope for it. This guy's rail come back way farther than mine which I'm guessing is an after-market product that I'll have to look into. Kinda wanted a threaded barrel though, so I can put a suppressor on it, but haven't been able to find one.
