I've never actually thought about this until now, My first FPS was Q1 in '97, back when things were so much faster paced. Now, when I play games like COD, I run and gun, I try and make the game as fast as possible while everyone else is sneaking around with snipers.

Also, this guys is amazing, someone told me about speed runs recently so this is my first time watching any, absolutely breath-taking, I never knew it was POSSIBLE to play like this lol ... So fast!!!

This is what I fucking love about Quake speed runs, or just watching Quake 3 Arena. As you hear the constant "HNGH" of the player character, shit actually gets done.
