@MissGreenAgain Rarely ever check my inbox, but just did, so forgive the belatedness of my response, but I had actually forgotten that I had posted those stupid comments two years ago. And, yes, my comments were stupid, but what made you look at the very, very bottom of the pile anyway? I'm actually curious. I had to go to like page 11 or something to see what I had written.

For the Americans not getting this sketch, basically most Canadians are pretty comfortable with the whole monarchy thing, and while there is an anti-monarchy sentiment present, Canada abandoning the monarchy altogether isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

1. Canada might have done that if the English-Canadians weren't fighting with the French-Canadians.
2. Canada had a much smaller population than America.
3. The War of 1812, which would have pretty much killed chances of Canadians wanting to emancipate like the Americans at that time.
4. The fur industry would have likely been compromised as well.
It should also be said that the British Loyalists who fled the U.S. during the revolution fled to Canada.
