@saddat1965 But I could go on for weeks about our history. It goes back 100`s of thousands of years.Our kids must know that we were the first doctors going back to ancient Egypt and beyond. We were the first astronomers, the first to create mathematics,alphabet, writing and many more things. We have the longst and the most amazing history of all people on the planet. Also teach them that we are the parents to all other people on earth. Our youth must grow to feel proud about who they are!

@saddat1965 Teach them about the ancient Egyptians and how they were the mightiest civilization for thousands of years before whites even knew how to build a house. Tell them about the ancient Hebrews of the bible when Israel was conquered by the Romans in 70 A.D. they went into Africa and eventually migrated into western Africa where the Europeans got our ancestors from during the slave trade. It tells our story in the bible. Duet. 28. There is so much more that we are not taught here....

@saddat1965 But just know that it`s not you who has the problem, it`s them. That`s just like there`s a church and a liquor store on most corners in black neighborhoods. But those neighborhoods have the highest crime rates in the country. I think what`s missing is teaching our kids at a young age who we really are. Let them know that we were the first people to settle in these lands called the Americas. Teach them about the ancient Olmecs who built great pyramids in Mexico years and years ago...

@saddat1965 I try to tell people in this town about true black history and they just don`t believe me. My own family believes in what whites told our slave ancestors which was passed down to us. And I believe that my mother can`t believe that what she has been taught by her parents was just not the truth. She can`t understand that before slavery we were spiritually different than we are now. She says things that I would expect a white person to say. .....

@MerryJ3000 I would like to first address that word militant. Like you I was referred to by my mother as being militant. But I have never taken a gun and tried to make anyone see things my way by force so I don`t know why she would use the word militant to refer to my point of view. I also live in a town in GA and in the same exact situation as you are in. The difference is that I was born and raised in Chicago and i`m older than you are. But the same exact situation right now. .....

@MrBacardiman1984 what do u mean why did it take me so long? i knew about this when i was a child, who wouldn't? i was always the militant one in the family so i was the one who always asked these kinds of questions.
