Aristide Joseph Coletta, 74, died peacefully at his home in Yonkers, NY on Wednesday, February 9, 2011.
He leaves behind his loving family, including his son Vincent Coletta; daughter Lucia Shearer; three grandchildren, Danielle, Alexandra and Camille; brother Marco Coletta, and many close friends.
Born, October 11, 1936, and raised in the picturesque town of Roio del Sangro, Italy, which is nestled in the Apennine Mountains in the region of Abruzzo. He immigrated to the United States in 1965 and proudly became a naturalized U.S. citizen.
Ari was a devoted Sales Representative and Linguist for Alitalia Airlines for over thirty years.
He had a passion for world travel, hiking, fishing, snow skiing, just being outdoors, writing poetry, and his hometown and final resting place of Roio del Sangro.
He will be profoundly missed by all of those who loved him.

Hi, My father was an accountant, and we also had a travel agency. Claude Nardi was a friend and tax client of my father's. we helped Aris come to the states back in 65, and he worked for my father, Gene Petraglia, In Hollywood Florida. he also dated my sister judy. he then went to atlanta, where he went with alitalia airlines,and was married. that was my last contact with him.
