  • I grew up in the house directly east of this home, about a mile away thru the woods, I believe the old property line seperated the homes at the rive... this vid makes me home sick... what is the saying? "you can never go home again"...

  • How fun...! Of course you can go home again. At least, you can go to the Wilder Home. :)

  • Ive been there i live about 10 miles away!

  • Yes my grandparents lived there and it was a beautiful farm and I remember how BIG her flowers were and her vegetable garden was plentiful as well. I have been blessed with some cherished memories. Thank you for your inquiry. ♥

  • @FantazmagoricalOne you gandmother lived on the wilder farm? in the book it sounds like a beautiful a ferttile place.

  • i loved that book, farmer boy but after reading it i couldn't help wonder; the wilders were very siccessful at farming, they had family nearby, nice fertile land, good stock, why in the world did they ever go west? they weren't pioneers by nature like pa ingalls was, mr. wilder was happy there.

  • I used to live in Burke also grew up in Franklin county I want to move back

  • Hmmm, now the nearside horse is bucking.

  • That is my Grandmother's home where I spent many wonderful childhood moments :) Doesn't look the same since it has been remodeled though but still is my HOME...Was ;up there to see it this past Thanksgiving when I visited my mother. I still have many dreams about it.

    Thanks for posting this :)

  • I live very close to here, and we're reading the book Farmer Boy in school.
