coralife aqualife pro. 250wt metal halide. I was able to fit it on the hex by inverting the legs. This was the only light I could get to fit this tank without using a hang from the ceiling type. My filtration is a homemade skimerless 30 gal refugium with a hole drilled in the side for a float valve automatic top off. The refugium is in the basement by hoses drilled through the floor for supply and return. I say the main key is for me is using ro di filtered water. Hope this helps.
