You won't have any trouble seeing this type of lightning again. They're most likely +CG's initiated by the anvil leaders then discharging through a the return stroke on the anvil...quite good quality and enjoyed the video.

@Danzlax Agreed! I hear this kind of activity is unusual for the area, however I'm out chasing every other night in recent weeks. Got new footage from the top of Castle Hill just hours old! Strikes on the shelter I'm under!!

WOW Incredible. Just one tiny annoying thing... 1/4 SPEED !!!!! Didnt need to tell us 7 times.
The amazing thing is u shot this with the Panasonic Lumix TZ10, 720p 50fps. Ive heard a few good things about this camera.

@zipperboy2 Ah yeah I know, I was not happy about that either, however I needed filler to get strikes synched to music reasonably well, and also hit the 2 crescendos at the end. It was either that or derp-tastic audio of me and girlfriend wetting ourselves lol. What would you have preferred?
As for the Lumix, for a pocketable point and shoot, it kicks a ton of ass. I love it. Only a couple of quirks, but I'll deal till I can fund a good DSLR...
