A.J. has been the best in rap parts and he did them as well as solo parts in melodies later. Kevin is a good singer too but I think the rest of them are better and he had no outstanding strengths in singing. And yes it was business and cute Nick had to be in the foreground, but still don't forget that he has developed a lot in singing.

@insomanyways I think Brian has always been the best in singing melodies, I was surprised to see he was in the background in the early years. "Loverboy" and some other old songs are better performed by Howie and A.J. because their voices mach with such songs better. I also think it was unjust that Howie was so much neglected in solo parts later but that was because they changed a bit in style after they got signed.

I love the early videos. with howie and kevin actually singing solo parts. when they became mainstream, they were just mostly backing, though they still could harmonize. but i guess after they got signed, the manager and record company thought brian, the vocal powerhouse, and the babyfaced blonde would sell more records. and aj, for that little edge. but kevin and howie were good. and this just proves it. now, howie got more solos than before. but this was shocking. in a good way. damn. iluvim!
