Lisa Leslie and David Chavret, Bode Miller and Paige Hemmis, and Kristi Leskinen and Maksim Chmerkovskiy make up the final teams to be crowned season 1 champion. But before they can the teams will participate in three contests: a kayak race; a tug-of-war competition; and a mini-triathlon, before facing the obstacle course.
In the season finale, teams compete in the Kayak Pursuit, Tug-o-War and the Arch to Triumph Triathlon before The Superstars Champion is crowned.
Various sporting 'superstars' compete against each other in various events, such as circuit training, cycling, penalty shoot outs and the like. Most well known sportsmen of the era appeared (Kevin Keegan, Gareth Edwards etc) but Judo star Brian Jacks seemed to win most years and could go on doing squat thrusts and the like for what seemed like days on end.
