Cool skinny green snake in Thailand jungle. Mildly toxic venom, but not deadly. Rear fanged and fun snake. VERY pretty snake. Awesome, and maybe I'll keep the next one for a week for photos and videos. Long, skinny, green Oriental Whip Snake from southern Thailand. Classification: Ahaetulla prasina. More can be found at http://ThailandSnakes.com.

  • Great video and thanks again for uploading.

To be precise Common Vine Snake ( Ahaetulla nasuta) are not considered as venoms snakes…but they are usually aggressive and quick to bite. It has a enlarged rear fang and mildly toxic saliva that may cause mild pain or produce itchiness / slight swelling locally.

    Wonderfully Handled…… regards..sAs.

  • @snakees100 Hi - Thanks for your comment. The idea of a venomous snake not being considered venomous is sort of ludicrous to me. It either has venom, or it doesn't. Most colobrids have venom. They are venomous. Whether it is toxic to humans or not - is up for debate as there are snakes being found all the time that, once they bite down long enough - can cause serious problems or fatalities. I prefer to say this snake is venomous but not very dangerous. Is Ahaetulla prasina the same as nasuta?

  • THIS is the snake i want !!!!!

    i have a hognose so ... venom wise it's the same ...

    i want this snake !!

  • it's a REALLY beautiful snake up close - amazing colors and temperament, considering he's probably never seen a human was really good. He struck slowly and wasn't really interested in sinking teeth in me. Today I saw a big vine snake dead on the road - over a meter long - INTENSE greens... they're also super cool - whip snake as well.

Went snake hunting today and came up empty. :(

  • Yes they are venomous but only a little bit and if they bite u they don't inject venom because there fangs are in the back for injecting them when he's chewing

  • @thaipulsedotcom i was wondering is it legal to take snakes from thailand? or is there wildlife protected i would love to go herping there

  • is he venous?

  • @thaipulsedotcom those two snakes are so similar that almost everyone mixes them up. nasuta has a more wedge-shaped head and a less pointy nose than prasina.

  • Do you see many snakes in Thailand?

I'm thinking of moving there, but am not a snake fan.

  • quiet ugly i think, love the colour tho

  • zoooom man !!!!!!!!!!

  • damnit it took me more than 20 seconds to see that snake! LOL

  • i wonder if u can have one of these as pets?
