The V-Cube 7 turns much more smoothly than the V-Cube 6. Besides that though it's just a matter of preference.

That IS a V-Cube. The current 6x6 V-Cubes are square like the 5x5. They haven't made the pillow-square ones yet like they have with the 7x7 V-Cubes.
