Reason.tv was on hand for the Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear hosted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert at the National Mall in Washington on Saturday, October 30, 2010.
The crowd was huge, the weather fine, the signs memorable, and the people...well, let's just say they were there too. Some were apolitical and just out for a fun day, some were big fans of Comedy Central's best-known personalities, some were inadvertent dadaists, and more than a few defined sanity strictly in terms of heartily agreeing with themselves.
Approximately 6 minutes long. Shot and edited by Jim Epstein and Meredith Bragg, with assistance from Josh Swain. Interviews by Michael C. Moynihan and Nick Gillespie. With help from June Arunga.

it's hilarious when he points out their hypocrisies....you can see there's a moment when they say to themselves: "hey wait a minute, i'm completely full of shit!"
.....but thne the program reboots and they just continue on being statist hypocrites. :(

Libertarians were the only rational minded people there.

George Orwell was a democratic socialist with a very anti-authoritarian message and Albert Einstein, who held similar views, said said the hardest thing to understand is income taxes. They were both talking out both sides of their mouth, chiding the soviet union for it's central planning and massive state while wanting the socialist system that never was.

So what? George Orwell and Albert Einstein were also socialists.

Ugh God. I would be so embarrassed to be at one of those useless rallies, let alone caught on camera at one of those. I love that it's the rally to "restore sanity" attended by: man in bunny suit, man dressed like santa claus, and elderly woman with hulk hands. Yeah if anyone's sane, it's those people. And the Libertarians? They're there spreading knowledge about freedom...and dressed normally...without hulk hands. BLASPHEMY!

Hitler himself said he was the greatest of all the socialist. Look it up, hell mousilnni had no problem calling himself a fascist. But they were both National socialist, state control of product with a national identity. Sort of like a union worker going USA USA USA !!
