Israel is in my heart and Tel Aviv best place on earth if you wanna truly relax and enjoy international atmosphere. In Tel Aviv comes ppl around the globe and I cant but admire how nice and friendly they are but of course dont be stupid there are thieves also in Tel Aviv so precaution is good word here. In general Tel Aviv is quite safe place to go and there are police everywhere you can ask help and usually they are very eager to help tourists!! God bless you Israel!!

I surf, and I've had a friend attacked by a shark once! But thank God that you don't really have to worry about them in Israeli waters! I'll see about a trip to Israel for my graduation from my University! Shalom!

most sharks don't bite people in the water...I've been stung by Jellyfish in the Indian Ocean and it looks like you've been whipped with many strands and feels that way too

I visited Israel with a group tour and went to all the other places in Israel...all but Tel Aviv...but then it was a religious tour :)

Is it really true that their are no sharks in the waters of Israel? If that's true I would love to go surfing or even windsurfing over their!

There are generally not many sharks that come into Israeli water, but every once in a while it does happen. Jellyfish, some of which can sting, are more common but far from as bad as sharks :)
