@MrSAS1997 FIRSTLY WENT 5.000 MEN AND ONLY 1000 OF THEM WERE ATHENIANS.THEN,OTHER 5000 WENT THERE.MOST OF THEM DIED,BUT FEW OF THEM WERE ATHENIANS

@MrSAS1997 40.000?not so much.only 10.000 and most of them were no athenians but alies.also,the syracosians didnt beat this army,spartans did it.the syracosians had also perfect cavalry.about the nave,i think that the syracosians just were very lucky.if alciaviadis hadnt been recalled,sikelia woyuld be captured from the athenians.

@thebomber12321 yes you are right....also l saw that there had been a navy before n open seas......but what really pieces me off is that such a great army like the athenians had lost 40000 by a force whose army wasnt even imagined by anyone.l mean what was syracusian army like???and also triremes,the best ships,were beaten twice by a slightly smaller navy force at syracuse port....
