Great review! My brother and I had this game - got it in 1991 at the height of our American Gladiators madness - we were eight years old and totally fascinated by the whole program, particularly the Elminator.

I love the "8 bit scream" and "music of doom" (my emphasis on both points) when the player falls off the platform.

I never made it to the end, but let me just say that I was expecting a rising platform with the CHALLENGERS on it - don't ask, I had a feeling.

Except for the hours of hell it took to get there. I admit I wouldn't believe anything like this existed in the game after I played it as a kid.

I find t funny that no one realizes that you can press down to duck. That way if you are hit by a ball, you aren't affected and it just bounces off of you. Good job though, this game was a pain lol.
