I can recommend a newish CD - MD Septet Live in Vienna 1973. It's November that year so the band''s really getting into its stride. This number (Ife) and Calypso Frelimo (the number they've segued into) are on it - Ife is evolving into something darker...The quality of the recording is pretty good. The CD cover is taken from the above - Miles at Montreux. About 8 pounds on Amazon - a bargain for music so great.

lol, most listeners wouldn't make it here to Part 3. You have to have an attention span longer than a Monkees tune. Great!

"Ife" and Calypso Frelimo". "Calypso Frelimo" to me was the best moments during 1973-74 for this band. Listen to Miles and Reggie Lucas go back and forth between 8:08-8:16. I swear Miles calls him a "muthafucka" after that. :)
