  • DeeDee hasn't changed a bit either, she's working with me and word has got out about this being on Youtube. Loving the hair Denise ;-)

  • Any ex 'Highlanders' can join the group started on Facebook to catch-up with ex collegues.

  • Fantastic to find this piece of footage!!

I was one of the 'Highlanders' based at PIK in 1987. Im still flying today but Highland was my favorite employer-its was jsut tragic when it all went wrong.

Especially good to see my best pal at the time DeeDee attending to the F/D crew. Also featured is The Cabin Crew Manager briefly. Thanks for posting-priceless!!

  • The 747 is a magnificent aircraft, and to see a midair sunset from one of those classics I would imagine to be such a glorious experience. I wish I could have done that, let alone go into the cockpit of an aircraft in-flight.

  • Is this the highland express that used to fly from prestwick to gatwick? If so I remember flying on the old 747 out of prestwick and noticing halfway through the flight there was a panel MISSING on the left wing where the closest engine mounted on the wing! I kid you not,it was there when we took off.Always remember that green primer where it should have been. They went out of buisness a few weeks later.

  • the -400 has more range than the old ones

  • yeah i got to say 747-100 and 200 are cool

but man why did they have to cange it on the 400? i hate 747-400 the old ones were good!!

  • I remember this aircraft doing crew training at Stansted in about 1983 if I remember rightly. A blast from the past indeed! Amazed it's on here.

  • This was a great blast from the past. A real piece of aviation history. Lovely to see the Highland Express B747-100 again.

    Many thanks for sharing.

  • I love the FE Panel!
