To the guy who said that "Live [Dan] was shit" - you must have been to someone else's concert(s); because, LIVE, he was "Spot-On" every time (saw him 8-9 times, even during his scratchy-blues-voice stage); it was like watching an album, only better.
Perhaps celticlofts was a little under-the-weather (or under the bleachers, instead)

I saw Dan live in Peoria on August 9th, 1974 at the band shell in Glen Oak Park and he was fantasic. He was not shit live as you have stated. I disagree with you.

He was one guy whose albums sounded great but live he was shit. . I loved his music but live was not a way to hear it. sorry !!

If Dan wrote this song for me, I would have believed!! You can hear his sincereity in each word. What a beautiful song, beautiful man!!! His voice is pure heaven-loved it when he was a young 20 and still at a mature 40!! Magical!!!

I was actually in the audience at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre when he said "You are the first people who are ever gonna hear this song" -- It was a very surreal and INCREDIBLE moment for such a BEAUTIFUL song -- It made me cry that night and it still does to this very day...I miss him so much, and I never even met him in person...
