How to interview a rock legend live on air to a an ITV teatime audience and still work in the phrase "spank the monkey!" It makes me proud - and done against a very VERY loud background almost ONSTAGE at the CRopredy festival.

  • Sorry, it was ten years ago, no idea I'm afraid.

  • And mighty fine you were too. I couldn't hear a thing Planty said, but that wasn't the point - how many others get to saty: "And that's the hard rocking sound of Spank The Monkey" to a live ITV teatime audience?

  • Thanks for posting. Do you know what year this is from?

  • Sorry, wrong video, that was in response to a Hank Marvin comment.

  • If you're from Wigan you might know the estimable Dave Mehan?

  • Recorded live on August 10, 2000. The recording project with Jimmy was for Good Rocking Tonight, A Tribute to Sun Records television program later released on dvd.

  • What project did he and jimmy were recording? any ideas on that?!

  • This was 2000 especially memorable as that is my band on stage behind Planty

  • I'm pretty sure it was 2001 - but it might have been the year before.
