Not every song they write is about animals. This specific song isn't about animals at all, if you ask me. It's about generations of mankind. I'm going to make a video that explains it all some day, but in brief summary, the first "Here in the garden" passage is about mankind destroying our resources and leaving nothing to future generations. The second "Here in the garden" passage is about future generations having no resources left. They didn't cause the problem, they just suffer from it.

It's not sort of, it definitely is an homage to 2001. It's "anti-2001" as I call it. 2001's Dawn of Man was about the beginning of mankind, and Kingdom of Tyrants is about the end of Mankind. I'm going to make a video explaining it briefly at some point soon, because there's definitely more going on than the average video.
