You are right on track, I like it. I think that kind of car should be available in the US . In Germany thare are 3 that I have herd of- VW Polo --Audi A2 -- LOREMO or Lo resistance mobile. I have heard Renault offers one also. I can only ask why not in the US ???

So... What components did you have to customize in order to put that engine in? Engine brackets and Flywheel? I have a 89 Festiva that is totally fine but needs a new engine. Putting a Diesel in it would be sweet!!! Did you put a turbo in it solely because the 2 cylinder diesel you have is underpowered? I'm thinking about putting the 3 cylinder Yanmar 3TNV88-BDSA engine in the Festiva.

@PinHeadora flywheel, adapter plate, engine mounts, electrical/alternator mount, rad and heater connections, odds and ends. Yeah, the turbo was to increase HP. If you have a 3TNV88-BDSA, it would have plenty of power. One thing though, on the 2TNV70, the inboard axle shaft barely clears the oil pan flange. It might interfere if the flange to crank C/L distance is any greater. Do you have a source for that engine?

I am amazed at how well this seems to work. So you didn't need any fuel enrichment or extra cooling? I bet the turbo made driving turn from a chore to a blast, considering. Those little diesels are torquey suckers.

@coconuteater64 The radiator is way over-sized, if anything, the engine runs too cool. I have been using unmodified highway diesel. I am thinking of trying propane injection to make it a little happier.
