Left 4 Dead highest settings!!!! on X3100

this is a 2 part vid, showing L4D on highest settings without config tweaks n with config tweak

1280x800
no AA
no vsync
texture:high
model:high
shader:medium (crash if set above medium)

on the first vid, no config, indoor max 15fps, outdoor, 7-8 fps, horde comes 5 fps

on the second vid, used my config, indoor 20+fps, outdoor 10-13fps, horde comes 10fps

if u want to play on highest with minimum lags, i suggest 800x600 or even 640x480

PUT IT IN PROGRAM FILES/Left 4 Dead/left4dead/cfg...
Put this in ur command line -w 800 -console -novid -refresh 60 -heapsize 1572864 -high -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noipx -nojoy

adjust the heapsize to ur system RAM, read the autoexec for directions

@MattSynysterRx20 yes, i used it on the 2nd part of the vid.. actually using my modded config u can still play it at 800x600, bilinear, high model n texture, medium shaders or 1024x768, bilinear, high model, medium/low texture, low shader..

awesome, using this on the laptop beats playing games on portable devices like the psp or the ds

btw is it extremely smooth on lower settings?

and could you try out some custom maps/campaigns made by other people?
