  • he is related to me im not lying he is one of my great grandfathers on my dads side im looking this up because i need to do my social studies project for some research......................and by the way he is my hero

  • That's excellent! I'm glad you found these clips. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend getting to Colonial Williamsburg to see him in person.

  • Lafayette n'est pas Américain, mais Français !

Il a eu la nationalité Américaine par la suite de ses exploits mais il est né en France.

  • I think the question was about the actor playing him, rather than the Marquis. We know HE was French, but we are proud that he chose to be part of OUR heritage too!

Je pense que la question était d'environ l'acteur jouant lui plutôt que le Marquis. Nous savons qu'il était le français, mais nous sommes fiers qu'il a choisi de faire partie de notre patrimoine trop!

  • Wait, Lafayette had red-orange hair, and this guy has brown. And Lafayette was only 19-24 years old when he was in America. They need a different person to play him.

  • Yes, this guy is a little bit older than LaFayette was, but he's got more energy than any TWO 19 year-olds I know, and his interpretation of the events is excellent! (For the record, he has also played Napoleon over in France. He's a great actor!)

  • Great show , great actor. La Fayette had many ennemies( specially dictators from everywhere) but he had much more friends ( according to the people talking about him he is named " marquis" , "general" or "citizen" .La Fayette est désigné sous le titre de "Marquis" , Général" ou "citoyen" selon la classe sociale des démocrates qui en parlent... Save the friendship between the USA and France

  • @girlCary Oh, I am too.

My friends laugh at my "historical crush" on him :)

  • @HumphreyMasonUNCLE glad to see I'm not the only Lafayette freak on the planet, outside of universities anyway.

  • ???????????

  • pfff

  • strange question !
