@11033066099 From my own experience, running can be tough on the knees if you are carrying some excess weight. These days there are some pretty efficient low carb diets. Don't be too extreme though, there is a healthy middle way. I am no expert, I am simply speaking from my own experience. You could get some injuries from running. Bicycling or swimming is easier on the joints, and especially swimming is great for core musculature and posture.

Thank you, excellent! The advice and slow mo on the foot strike was the perfect answer I was looking for.

does long distance running burn fat?? lets say you're a big person,...and you distance run instead of sprint,..will that give you the same burn(of course over a longer period of time),..but will you still get that thinner core?

thank u
@11033066099 ... Long-distance running will burn fat, but it won't happen overnight. Just keep up the hard work!
@theamazingman1000 ... The best course of action would be a discussion with a doctor. They'd be able to give you the best information about your personal health.
Thanks for all the great comments!

Here's some info provided by Victor Ornelas:
"Biomechanically:
Running is a natural heel/midfoot-to-toe transition. The motion is executed naturally at a slow to moderate pace.
Sprinting is considered to be running at your max threshold. You are landing primarily on your toes and running at 80% or higher, of your max speed.
Effort:
Running is a sustained effort that you can hold for longer periods of time
Sprinting is an all out effort for top end speed over a shorter distance."
