Since many feel that I am too long winded in this video here is a short description to save you some time.

To retain length and achieve growth:

1. I don't damage my hair with chemicals
2. I keep it straightened.

With this method I avoid chemical damage and reduce styling fiction. HTH

  • WOW @ all the comments here. Just remember she is talking about what works for HER. It may not work for YOU. Personally, a lot of you sound sour. Be more positive. Build up, not tear down.

  • Beautiful hair. I have recently started documenting my hair journey as well. Great inspiration.

  • THUMBS UP IF U KEPT YOUR EYES ON THE STEREO IN THE BACK :) CUZ I DID

  • Do you trim after the straightening or after the wash or blow dryer

  • i agree i have straight poofy hair but when its wet its so curly and im always trying to come through it and i agree if your hair is straight it grows more my hair naturally grows!

  • Also, regarding the heat - styling tools have come a LONG way since our mothers warned us about heat in the 80 and 90's. So, please calm down. Perhaps if you would invest in a GOOD flat iron, your hair wouldn't fall out from heat. Ie. My FHI Heat Runway is so good that I only have to straighten once every two to three weeks (and that's only b/c of my roots and for good hygiene) - and it lasts through all types of weather. The FHI costs $495.00, but it's a small price to pay for Bomb.com hair.

  • I agree. I wash/condition/flat iron once every 2 weeks and my unrelaxed/natural hair is gorgeous - people drool over it everywhere I go. I tried the curly thing, but it just doesn't work for me, so I keep it straight and it grows like a weed. I am currently at waist length, and I am aiming for buttox length by the summer. I also don't trim or use a lot of products - my attitude is if the cave men didn't have to, then why should I? I think women just do too much to their hair.

  • @tempptationzz Very helpful. No bullshit "I love this product" crap. Just the legit straight up SINGLE THING that helped. Heat training. I will try it.

  • Thankyou!!!! I never heard THIS perspective on how to grow long hair before. It makes sense. I might try heat-training.

  • @natrlchallenge AMEN!

  • ALOT, A-lot.. i mean A lot lol!! <3
