  • Suggestion... how about supplying written instructions, too? Not everyone wants to watch videos on YouTube.

  • @redwillrise Written instructions used to be present with libtcod's documentation. I might assemble a "from zero to hero" manual at some point, probably when I code the new transformed umbrarumregnum site.

  • You can supply all wanted packages in one go in apt-get, like "sudo apt-get install subversion zlib1g-dev ...", saves a lot of time.

I could use some advice: I want to install libtcod in my system, so its centrally available? How do I do that? Just copy all *.so to /usr/lib/libtcod or is there more to it?

  • @AntsanParcher I've never really done that, but it should be fairly easy to do, as long as the path to the library is known. I think if you have a look at the file /etc/ld.so.conf, you should be able to set the path to your libtcod library. No guarantees though: as I said, I've never done this before (I'm a linux noob, despite what it might seem on the video, hehe).

  • @mingos777 I fear that doesnt help much, but thanks either way!

  • @AntsanParcher Why don't you check on libtcod forums? There are some experienced linux users there, they'll surely be able to provide a better answer.
